Nowhere to play

Nowadays it is not extraordinary to see children playing football in the middle of car roads. You may even get a chance of watching the players kicking the ball under or over the passing car to score a goal.  His friend Alemu, 17, said, “ in our village houses were built in the entire playing grounds. And now there is no free space. There is nowhere to play. We don’t have a choice.”

            32-years- old villager, Berihanu, agree with them: “ when I was a child we had many free spaces where we can freely play, but now it is a different thing. I can’t blame these children for playing on car roads. I think it is better to say ‘you should play here’ than ‘don’t play here’. He also suggests that the local officials along with the community should think over this problem.
