Shame on Irish Independent

I am angry and frustrated by the arrogance and negligence of newspaper Called Irish Independent, which print article by Kevin Myers, on July 10, 2008 who wrote under the title of "Africa is giving nothing to anyone -- apart from AIDS".

The article is full of arrogance and bias about Africa in general and specifically targeted Ethiopia. He not only argue it is useless to help the African people,even on relif aid but also regrets the aids given before for Africans  he wrote"...The wide-eyed boy-child we saved, 20 years or so ago, is now a priapic, Kalashnikov-bearing hearty, siring children whenever the whim takes him."

The article is very sad in that it did not care to put such a shameful pure title of hatred, which in my view shows the mental picture of the writer and the newspaper. I am sure this does not represent the view of the people of Ireland or any other international community. There is always better way of putting ones opinion without disgracing and spreading hatred and racism. There were other words and ways of explaining opinions than putting all those hateful agendas together in such a manner. I am even more disappointed after reading what the writer wrote again after he received many emails against his article.

I invite all of speak Africa media corps and others who visit speak Africa web to tell the writer how it make them feel. We have to speak louder one day such racists will start to listen to us.
