The winning entry for the Africa International Media Summit (AIMS) Achievers Award is "Give Peace a Chance" an audio production by Kim Philander and Dillion Roberts of Bush Radio, South Africa. "Give Peace a Chance" was elected as the winning entry due to its unique ability to portray an otherwise negative stereotype of Africa - armed conflict in adition to inspiring action to put an end to conflict in Africa. The entry was representative of African youth voices particularly those affected by conflict across the continent. The message was clear and concise yet creative and original while utilizing the most comprehensive way to reach all youth across Africa - radio.

HOW HAS THIS GIRL CHANGED?
Behailu Shiferaw
When Zimdina and her other friends from Girls Forum came into our office nearly 27 issues ago, they discussed an issue so recurrently that I almost remembered the issue whenever I saw them in cafes or so. Psychologists call this acquisition- associating someone/something with someone/something else to a level that the sensing of one reminds one of the other. The theory was developed after Pavlov’s dog salivated with hearing of the bell his boss habitually tolled before giving him his daily bread.
